Abolfazl Shirmahalei

Abolfazl Shirmahalei is an Iranian AI practitioner and former mathematics olympiad competitor. He represented the Islamic Republic of Iran at the 59th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2018) and earned an Honourable Mention with a score of 15/42 (rank 290). He studied Physics with a minor in Mathematics at Sharif University of Technology, and in high school the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (Sampad) in Babol, Mazandaran. After the olympiad he moved into industry, joining Tapsi, Iran's leading ride-hailing platform, where he rose from AI Developer to Senior AI Developer and now leads the Pricing AI team.
