Notes
  • Represented Azerbaijan at the 37th IMO (1996, Mumbai) as a member of Azerbaijan's national team, scoring 8 points with an Honourable Mention - the top Azerbaijani performer that year (rank 236, 44.6th percentile), ahead of all five teammates.Jul 1996
  • Career moved from pure mathematics into software and systems: developer roles at R.I.S.K. and Encom Networks / MNS Solutions, then Senior System Architect at OCAQ Scoring, and now Team Leader at R.I.S.K. Scientific Production Company in Baku - a mathematician-turned-software-architect path, not an academic one.2026
  • Advanced from olympiad competitor to a research mathematician: earned a PhD in Mathematics from the Institute of Mathematics of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Science, and both BSc and MSc in Mathematics from Baku State University with Red Diploma (highest distinction) - a top-of-cohort academic trajectory.2026
  • Returned to the IMO in 1997 for Azerbaijan, scoring 4 points (rank 376) - a second national-team appearance, showing he stayed on the olympiad pathway after 1996.Jul 1997
  • His only surfaced online presence is LinkedIn; no verifiable personal site, GitHub, X/Twitter, or published papers were found - the public footprint is essentially his IMO record plus LinkedIn, so most biographical detail rests on those two sources.2026
  • His 1996 score was concentrated on problem 4 (7 points), with only 1 point on problem 3 and zero on P1/P2/P5/P6 - a profile typical of a strong but uneven contestant who nailed the geometry/algebra problem.Jul 1996
  • R.I.S.K. Company is a Baku-based IT firm (risk.az) offering system integration, data-center and business-continuity solutions, and scoring systems - placing him in Azerbaijan's domestic enterprise-IT sector rather than a globally visible company.2026
