Damien Joel Tchakoté Kenne is a Cameroonian mathematics student who became the first competitor to win a medal for Cameroon at the International Mathematical Olympiad, taking bronze in 2026. A graduate of Collège François-Xavier Vogt and lauréat of the 2026 baccalauréat with mention Très Bien, he built a rapid international trajectory: bronze and silver at the Francophone Mathematics Olympiad (OFM) and a silver at the Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad (PAMO) before earning an honourable mention at IMO 2025 and the historic bronze at IMO 2026.

Trained by PROMO-MATHS, Tchakoté Kenne competed for Cameroon at IMO 2025 (honourable mention, 13 points) and IMO 2026 (bronze medal, 16 points), the latter as the country's first-ever IMO medal. He has also medaled repeatedly at the OFM and PAMO, and his results opened a study-abroad scholarship to Canada and potential entry into university competitions such as the Putnam.
