Dušan Lj. Đukić

Dušan Lj. Đukić is a Serbian mathematician and associate professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Born 31 May 1981 in Belgrade, he studied theoretical mathematics at the University of Belgrade (BSc 2003) and earned a PhD in numerical analysis at the University of Kragujevac in 2018. As a high-school student he represented Yugoslavia at the International Mathematical Olympiad three times, winning silver in 1997 and 1998 and a gold medal in 1999 (rank 6, 36/42). He has remained a central figure in Serbian and international mathematical olympiad circles for over two decades: a member of the Serbian competition committee since 2003 (chair 2020-2021), deputy leader (2007-2012) and leader (2013-2017) of Serbia's IMO team, and author of IMO problems. He co-authored The IMO Compendium (Springer, 2006/2011) and co-maintains imomath.com. His research is in numerical analysis, focused on Gaussian-type quadrature rules, and he continues to mentor olympiad teams internationally (Saudi Arabia, Awesomemath).
