Ignas Urbonavičius

Ignas Urbonavičius is a Lithuanian mathematician and mathematics olympiad competitor. He represented Lithuania at the International Mathematical Olympiad, winning a bronze medal at the 54th IMO 2013 in Santa Marta, Colombia (20 points, rank 180) and a silver medal at the 55th IMO 2014 in Cape Town, South Africa (25 points, rank 95). He attended Vilnius Lyceum (Vilniaus licejus), entering as the top-ranked pupil of his admission year, where he trained under mathematics teacher Benas Budvytis; he collected multiple gold medals at Lithuanian national mathematical olympiads and competed for Lithuania's Baltic Way team. In 2013 the Lithuanian science press profiled him as a standout young mathematician aiming to study at the University of Cambridge.
