Ivan Vergiliev

Ivan Vergiliev Georgiev is a Bulgarian software engineer who represented Bulgaria at the 2009 International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), winning a bronze medal. He studied Computer Science at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, then built a career in distributed systems and search/recommendation infrastructure, with internships at Google (twice) and Facebook and roles at Chaos Group, Musala Soft and SoundCloud (music recommendation algorithms). He is currently a Tech Lead at Leanplum (by CleverTap), working on distributed systems, databases and data architectures, and speaks at Bulgarian developer events such as DEV.BG's Architectures for analyzing big data.
