Jia Hao Barry Tng

Singapore data scientist and public servant, currently Senior Assistant Director at the Ministry of Manpower's Co-Lab, seconded from/working with GovTech Singapore. A former competitive mathematics star, he represented Singapore at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 2009 (Honourable Mention) and 2010 (Silver Medal), then studied mathematics at Harvard University, writing a senior thesis on integral geometry under Oliver Knill. He has since built a career applying data science, machine learning and MLOps to public policy, including work at the National Climate Change Secretariat and on GovTech's analytics.gov platform.
