Karol Żebrowski is a Polish computer scientist working in cryptography, specifically side-channel leakage and masking schemes. He represented Poland at the 49th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2008, Madrid), winning a silver medal (rank 92, 25 points). Karol Żebrowski is a Polish mathematician and cryptographer. As a student at XIV LO im. Stanisława Staszica in Warsaw he was a laureate of the Polish Mathematical Olympiad and represented Poland at the 49th International Mathematical Olympiad (Madrid, 2008), taking silver with 25 points. He went on to a research career in cryptography at the University of Warsaw's MIMUW faculty, co-authoring work on functional encryption, broadcast encryption with guessing secrecy, and masking/side-channel leakage. He completed his PhD in November 2024 under Stefan Dziembowski with the dissertation 'Analysis of the Simple Refreshing in the Noisy Leakage Model'.
