Motoki Takigiku is a Japanese mathematician working in algebraic and enumerative combinatorics, partition identities, and combinatorial representation theory. He represented Japan at the International Mathematical Olympiad three times (2007, 2008, 2009), winning silver (2007), bronze (2008), and gold (2009), and also competed at the International Olympiad in Informatics. He studied at the University of Tokyo (B.S. Mathematics 2010-2014, M.S. and Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences 2014-2019) and has been a postdoctoral researcher at Tokyo Institute of Technology (東京工業大学) since 2019. His research, much of it joint with Shunsuke Tsuchioka, proves Rogers-Ramanujan type partition identities and Andrews-Gordon type series for standard modules of affine Lie algebras.
