Notes
  • Career trajectory runs Ruse olympiad prodigy -> Leanplum intern (2019) -> Leanplum Java backend (2020) -> Trading 212 (2020-21) -> Hopper Scala backend (2021-23) -> DraftKings senior backend (2025-). The pivot from Java to Scala at Hopper and the move into a US remote role suggest a deliberate shift toward functional/typed backend systems at scale.2025
  • Won gold at Romanian Master of Informatics 2017 in Bucharest (Oct 4-7, 2017) as part of a Bulgarian national team that took 2nd place overall; teammate Radoslav Dimitrov also won gold. The win over competitors from Switzerland, Italy, Moldova, Russia and Romania established him among Bulgaria's elite young competitive programmers.Oct 13, 2017
  • Represented Bulgaria at IOI 2017 in Tehran, scoring 148.04 and earning bronze as part of a Bulgarian team that finished 4th overall, behind only a handful of superpowers.Aug 2017
  • Trained and prepared JBOI (Junior Balkan Olympiad in Informatics) training tasks for younger Bulgarian students with Alexandar (Alaxe), showing he moved from competitor to coach/mentor of the next cohort.2018
  • Hails from Ruse: attended MG 'Baba Tonka' High School of Mathematics in Ruse and was in 10th grade when profiled by Telerik Academy among Bulgaria's medal-winning informatics talent.2017
  • Codeforces handle P_Nyagolov (also listed as x-tazy on the IOI stats site); reached max rating 2243 (Master) though currently rated 1660 — the high-water mark reflects his peak competitive years around 2017-2019.2024
  • GitHub account Peshooo (16 followers) hosts his solutions to oj.uz olympiad problems and shows an Arctic Code Vault Contributor badge — footprint is olympiad/algorithmic rather than product engineering.2023
  • Author of competitive-programming blog/editorials and a 'Crazy Typer' project on Codeforces, and posted solutions/editorials in the Codeforces community — evidence of a teaching/explaining streak that recurs in his JBOI training work.2016
