Rallis Karamichalis

Rallis Karamichalis is a Greek mathematician and computer scientist. He represented Greece at the 47th International Mathematical Olympiad (2006), earning a bronze medal. He holds a BSc and MSc in Mathematics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (graduating first in his class) and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario, where his thesis introduced 'molecular distance maps' for alignment-free analysis of DNA sequences. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at UWO, then as a software engineer at Amazon and Instacart in Toronto and as a senior cloud engineer at NorthBay Solutions, and is a Founder-in-Residence at Entrepreneur First in Canada.
