Tonkid Chantrasmi is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB). He earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University, where his 2011 thesis developed the Pade-Legendre method for uncertainty quantification with fluid-dynamics applications. As a high-school student he represented Thailand at the 40th International Mathematical Olympiad in Bucharest in 1999 and won a bronze medal. His research centers on computational fluid dynamics, uncertainty quantification and heat transfer.
