Vadim Igorevich Retinskii

Vadim Igorevich Retinskii is a Russian mathematician and PhD student (aspirant) at the HSE University Faculty of Mathematics, where he has worked since 2020 as a research assistant in the International Laboratory of Cluster Geometry under S. Lando. He won a bronze medal representing the Russian Federation at IMO 2017 in Rio de Janeiro (score 16, rank 265) and silver at the 2017 Romanian Master of Mathematics. Raised in Livny, Oryol Oblast, he attended Lyceum No. 2 in Livny and Moscow School No. 1329 before HSE. His research is in enumerative geometry, focused on recursions of topological type for generalized Hurwitz numbers.
