Theoretical physicist specialising in lattice field theory and nonperturbative QCD phenomena, including phase transitions, confinement and finite-density matter. Currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Theoretical Physics, Goethe University Frankfurt, in CRC TR 211 'Strong-interaction matter under extreme conditions' (Project A08). Previously postdoc at INFN Cosenza (Italy) and junior researcher at the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics, Kyiv, where he also earned his PhD. Represented Ukraine at the 45th International Mathematical Olympiad (2004, Athens), winning a silver medal.

Volodymyr Chelnokov is a Ukrainian theoretical physicist working on lattice quantum chromodynamics (QCD) and strongly interacting matter. He earned a PhD in Theoretical Physics at the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and holds a Master's in Applied Mathematics and Physics from MIPT (Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology). He was a postdoctoral researcher at the INFN Gruppo Collegato di Cosenza / Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati (2018-2020) and has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Theoretical Physics, Goethe University Frankfurt since 2020, within CRC TR 211. As a school student he represented Ukraine at the 45th IMO in 2004 (Athens), winning a silver medal with 28/42 points.
