## Notes
- Cognition signed a definitive agreement to acquire Windsurf on 2025-07-14, covering its IP, product, trademark, brand and business. Logan's Windsurf role (held since Apr 2024) is how they came to Cognition. (https://cognition.com/blog/windsurf)
- LinkedIn lists a single role, Associate at Windsurf, starting April 2024. (https://www.linkedin.com/in/logan-furhman-552932377)
- Days before Cognition's deal, Google hired Windsurf CEO Varun Mohan, co-founder Douglas Chen and research leads in a $2.4B licensing deal, leaving most of the roughly 250-person team behind. Logan was part of the team that stayed and moved to Cognition. (https://techcrunch.com/2025/07/14/cognition-maker-of-the-ai-coding-agent-devin-acquires-windsurf/)
- On 2026-06-02 Cognition rebranded Windsurf as Devin Desktop and introduced Devin Local, a Rust rewrite that replaces the Cascade agent. This is the product line Logan's Windsurf team now sits under. (https://devin.ai/blog/windsurf-is-now-devin-desktop)
- LinkedIn still shows the employer as Windsurf rather than Cognition, with no headline or role description. (https://www.linkedin.com/in/logan-furhman-552932377)
- Cognition's 'One Year of Building Together' post (2026-07-14) says 'Three days after the deal closed, we shipped Wave 11.' The Windsurf team Logan belonged to kept shipping straight through the acquisition with no pause. (https://cognition.com/blog/one-year-of-building-together)
- Cognition writes that 'Windsurf 2.0 brought every agent into a single command center' and that it 'finally unified into one brand with the launch of Devin Desktop'. Logan's LinkedIn still says Windsurf. (https://cognition.com/blog/one-year-of-building-together)
- On 2025-09-08 Cognition announced it 'raised over $400M at a $10.2B post-money valuation led by Founders Fund' and said 'Our acquisition of Windsurf more than doubled our ARR'. The team Logan came with made up about half of the combined revenue base. (https://cognition.com/blog/funding-growth-and-the-next-frontier-of-ai-coding-agents)
- Jeff Wang, Windsurf's former head of business, became interim CEO after the Google deal and led the remaining team, Logan's included, into the Cognition acquisition. (https://techcrunch.com/2025/07/14/cognition-maker-of-the-ai-coding-agent-devin-acquires-windsurf/)
- LinkedIn still shows the employer as Windsurf rather than Cognition, with no headline or role description. (https://www.linkedin.com/in/logan-furhman-552932377)
- Jeff Wang, Windsurf's interim CEO after the Google deal, wrote that 'Over the last 3-4 years I've seen the journey of Codeium, Windsurf, and now Cognition' and that 'it's gone from autocomplete, to chat, to agents, now to fleets of agents'. (https://www.linkedin.com/posts/jefflinwang_over-the-last-3-4-years-ive-seen-the-journey-activity-7495913383272292352-iRHH)
- In the same anniversary post, Cognition says the combined team built 'SWE-1.5, served at ~1000 tokens per second' and launched SWE-1.7, 'the most capable and efficient model we've trained to date'. (https://cognition.com/blog/one-year-of-building-together)
- Cognition says 'combined enterprise ARR at Cognition is up over 30% in the seven weeks post buying Windsurf' and that the two companies had '< 5% overlap in enterprise customers pre-acquisition'. Windsurf brought a largely separate enterprise book, which is the side an Associate-level go-to-market role usually works. (https://cognition.com/blog/funding-growth-and-the-next-frontier-of-ai-coding-agents)
- CNBC reported CEO Scott Wu saying 'We'll continue to invest significantly in both Devin and Windsurf'. This was the public commitment to the product line Logan worked on, two months after the deal. (https://www.cnbc.com/2025/09/08/cognition-valued-at-10point2-billion-two-months-after-windsurf-.html)
- LinkedIn's public 'Furhman' directory lists 'Logan Furhman. United States. Windsurf.' This is a second LinkedIn surface that confirms the subject is US-based and still shows Windsurf as their employer. (https://www.linkedin.com/pub/dir/+/Furhman)
- The LinkedIn profile lists no education, earlier employers, olympiad, ICPC or training-camp history. (https://www.linkedin.com/in/logan-furhman-552932377)
