Notes
  • EVIDENCE GAP: no independent primary source (his own post, a company announcement, or press) corroborates the Jane Street, Stripe or QuantCo roles - all three are index-only (LinkedIn-derived) claims, and no resume/CV or authored post describing them was found.Sep 17, 2026
  • Announced he was leaving Cursor/Anysphere on 2025-10-17; per his own post he was sad to leave the team and product and 'excited for the ideas I get to explore next'.Oct 17, 2025
  • QUANT EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION: UNRESOLVED. The LinkedIn-derived index (from enrichment) lists 'Quantitative Trading' at Jane Street (New York, 2021), 'Software Engineering' at Stripe (Remote, 2020) and 'Software Engineering' at QuantCo (Cologne, 2019).Jan 1, 2021
  • EMPLOYER CLASSIFICATION: Jane Street - CONFIRMED to be a quantitative trading / market-making firm (not merely a name containing 'quant'); Stripe - payments technology, NOT quantitative finance; QuantCo - a data-science/analytics consultancy whose listed roles include 'Quantitative Researcher', so it operates in quantitative analytics rather than a trading/market-making business.Sep 17, 2026
  • IDENTITY: supported. The Jane Street/Stripe/QuantCo roles sit on the same LinkedIn profile (arvid-lunnemark) that is cross-linked from his own personal site and carries his Anysphere role and MIT education, so the trajectory belongs to the verified subject.Oct 17, 2025
  • Recency: no current employer identified after he left Cursor on 2025-10-17; his site note says he is exploring 'ideas to explore next' with no named company, so current_company is left unknown rather than inferred from the old index.Oct 17, 2025
  • Co-founded Anysphere in 2022 with MIT classmates Michael Truell, Aman Sanger and Sualeh Asif; took the CTO role and drove much of Cursor's technical architecture.Jan 1, 2022
  • Lead identity id 'taiga-635145580' matches the Swedish competitive programmer Arvid Lunnemark: the Codeforces handle ArVID220u / arvid220u is shared by his personal site, GitHub and the IOI profile.Aug 4, 2017
  • Anysphere's late-2025 round valued the company near $30B, making Lunnemark one of Sweden's youngest dollar billionaires; the stake value is report-derived, not self-disclosed.Dec 1, 2025
  • ROLE TYPE UNKNOWN: the index lists a bare title ('Quantitative Trading', 2021) with no full-time/internship designation, so it cannot be classified as an internship versus a full-time role from this evidence; no start/end month is given, so no dates were filled beyond the year.Jan 1, 2021
  • IMO results: 2018 gold for Sweden (rank 27, 32 pts) and 2017 bronze (rank 188, 17 pts) - not 2017 gold as the brief's label implies.Jul 1, 2018
  • Appeared on the Lex Fridman 'Cursor Team: Future of Programming with AI' episode with Truell, Asif and Sanger.Nov 1, 2024
