Budimir Baev
Budimir Baev is a Russian mathematician and quantitative finance practitioner. He represented the Russian Federation at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 2013, winning a silver medal (rank 117), and went on to study at Saint Petersburg State University (Specialist degree in Mathematics and Mechanics, 2013-2018). He was an absolute winner of the International Student Mathematics Olympiad (Ariel University, Israel) in 2015, 2016 and 2017. After a WorldQuant internship during his fourth year, he joined WorldQuant, a quantitative asset management firm, as an employee following his 2018 graduation. His LinkedIn profile lists a Quantitative Researcher role at WorldQuant (2018-2019) and a Senior Data Analyst role at Yandex (2019-2022), followed by a Quantitative Trader role since 2022 at an employer recorded only as 'HFT NDA'.
