Chai Haixin

Chai Haixin (Henry (Haixin) Chai, 柴海新) is a Chinese computer scientist and executive. He represented China at the first International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 1989, Pravetz, Bulgaria) as one of the country's three contestants, winning a bronze medal with a score of 75 (rank 12/46). He holds a Ph.D. from Tsinghua University's Computer Science department and later coached China's national IOI training team. After a decade as a speech-recognition scientist at IBM China Research Lab he joined Lenovo, where he has spent over ten years across battery-safety research, mobile security and fintech incubation. He founded and led Uni-ID Technology (国民认证), a Lenovo Capital & Incubator Group subsidiary commercializing FIDO-based strong authentication for customers including Alipay, JD.com, State Grid, Minsheng Bank and ICBC, and is a co-chair of the FIDO China Working Group.
