Dario Rancati

Italian mathematician and machine-learning researcher. Represented Italy at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 2014 (Honourable Mention). Studied at Scuola Normale Superiore and the University of Pisa, then worked as an Applied Scientist at Amazon Web Services. Since May 2024 a Research Fellow at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) and, from September 2024, a PhD student in Computer Science in the Locatello Group. Research areas: machine learning, causality, causal representation learning, vision-language models and graph generative models. Earlier a Research Intern at Duality Group (2019).
