Elie Eshoa is a Syrian competitive-mathematics medalist who earned honourable mentions at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 2017 and 2018, and a software engineer based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He holds a BA in Computer Science with a secondary in Statistics from Harvard University (2020-2024) and an MS in Computational Science and Engineering from Harvard SEAS (2023-2024). Since 2024 he has worked at InterSystems, progressing through its Core Development Program into a systems developer role. Earlier experience includes a Software Engineering and Machine Learning internship at QuantCo (2022), Harvard teaching fellowships, and research and tool development at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, where he co-developed a game-theory extension to the COBRA Toolbox and co-authored a 2024 Scientific Reports paper. Available evidence shows no employment in quantitative finance.

Harvard-trained software engineer and former two-time IMO honourable mention for Syria (2017, 2018). BA Computer Science/Statistics and MS Computational Science and Engineering at Harvard; now a systems developer at InterSystems. Research background in computational biology and game theory; no quantitative-finance employment found.

Notes
  • Quant employment verification: NOT CONFIRMED. The only candidate employer lead, QuantCo, is an applied-AI / data-science consultancy (self-described product line: algorithmic pricing, data-driven claims management and high-dimensional forecasting; PitchBook classifies it as IT Consulting), not a quantitative investment, trading, market-making, hedge-fund or systematic-trading firm, and the 2022 role there was a Software Engineering and Machine Learning internship building internal data-pipeline tooling and a forecasting model. No employer, role or internship in quantitative finance was found across the LinkedIn/index record, employer pages, and web search. Identity is independently supported (official IMO honourable mentions for Syria 2017 and 2018; Harvard Computer Science/CSE), so this is an employer-classification finding, not an identity doubt.2022
  • Two-time IMO honourable mention for Syria: 2017 (rank 342, 14 pts) and 2018 (rank 290, 15 pts), per the official IMO results site contestant page (contestant 27242) - a primary-source confirmation of the Olympiad identity, not an index claim.Jul 2018
  • Co-authored 'Precision game engineering through reshaping strategic payoffs', Scientific Reports 14(1):25226 (2024), with Ali R. Zomorrodi - a peer-reviewed publication from his Harvard/MGH research.Oct 2024
  • QuantCo employment (Software Engineering and Machine Learning Intern, 2022) is carried on his LinkedIn experience record and is thus index-derived; no independent primary-source page naming him at QuantCo was located.2022
  • InterSystems, his employer since 2024, is a healthcare / large-scale data-platform vendor (IRIS data platform, FHIR/healthcare interoperability) - not a financial or quantitative-trading firm.2026
  • No evidence of a founder role, investment activity, or quantitative-finance employment was found; his public profile is that of an engineer/researcher rather than an investor or trader.2026
  • Presented the InterSystems talk 'Optimizing Parallel Aggregation Using Shared Globals', listed with the title Systems Developer, InterSystems.2025
  • Education: BA in Computer Science with a secondary in Statistics, Harvard University (2020-2024), and MS in Computational Science and Engineering, Harvard SEAS (2023-2024) - both from the LinkedIn/index record.2024
  • Built a COBRA Toolbox tool applying game theory to Genome-Scale Metabolic Models to predict microbial equilibrium states for personalized medicine, as Project Lead Developer at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital (2022-2024).2024
  • Listed as an alumnus of the Zomorrodi Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital, described there as a Master's and undergraduate student in Computer Science at Harvard.2024
  • Teaching Fellow for Harvard AC209a (2023) and AC209b (2024) graduate data-science courses and CS51 (2022), with a Distinction in Teaching Award noted for CS51.2024
  • Harvard PRISE (Program for Research in Science and Engineering) Fellow at Harvard Medical School and MGH (2023), and named in the 2023 Harvard Summer Undergraduate Research Village abstract book with advisor Ali R. Zomorrodi.2023
