Danish software engineer and former front-office quant developer (Nordea Asset Management, Saxo Bank). IOI 2006 bronze medalist for Denmark; MSc Computer Science, Aarhus University.

Jørgen Fogh is a Danish software engineer and computer scientist based in Copenhagen. Notes
  • Quant employment verification: CONFIRMED. Jørgen Fogh held actual paid front-office quantitative developer roles: 'Quant Developer / Senior Specialist' at Nordea Asset Management (2017-2022, Nordea Multi Assets) and 'Associate Director / Principal Developer' at Saxo Bank (2022-2025, described as 'a front office quant developer' doing performance tuning, concurrency and fitting quant models). Identity is supported (LinkedIn + IOI 2006 + Dansk Datalogidyst all resolve to the same Jørgen Fogh). Nordea Asset Management is a Danish asset manager and Saxo Bank a Danish investment bank/trading platform, so both are genuine quantitative-finance employers; these are actual roles, not student programmes. The earlier 'Analyst at Nordea Markets, Advisory Platforms' (2015-2017) is a markets-software role adjacent to but not itself a quant role.2022
  • Identity confirmed for the supplied lead: LinkedIn /in/jrgfogh is Jørgen Fogh, a Copenhagen-based Danish computer scientist; name, Denmark location and the Stack Overflow link all match the caller's unverified lead, and the profile is the one surfaced by the IOI/Dansk Datalogidyst identity anchor.Sep 2026
  • Olympiad identity confirmed by primary result pages, not just an index: the IOI 2006 official results (ioi.te.lv), the archived IOI 2006 results (win.tue.nl) and the CPHOF standings all list Denmark's Jorgen Fogh (DNK-03) with 282 points at rank 96, awarded a bronze medal.2006
  • Front-office quant developer at Saxo Bank (2022-2025), title Associate Director / Principal Developer: 'I worked as a front office quant developer... performance tuning, advanced concurrency, and fitting quant models into a modern software design.'2022
  • Front-office quant developer at Nordea Asset Management (2017-2022) in the Nordea Multi Assets team - a quant role at a Danish asset manager.2017
  • Index-only claim: the current role 'Principal Software Engineer at Akamai Technologies' (2025-) and the role dates here come from LinkedIn-index enrichment, not from an independent primary source; treat the Akamai role as index-sourced until confirmed on Akamai's own pages.2025
  • Analyst at Nordea Markets, Advisory Platforms (2015-2017), responsible for the technical integrity of Nordea Analytics, a fixed-income and FX analytics software suite - a software/markets-platform role, not itself a quant developer role.2015
  • Master's thesis 'Engineering a Fast Fourier Transform' (Aarhus University, June 2013), supervised by Gerth Stølting Brodal - a research-grade algorithms project.Jun 2013
  • Education: MSc Computer Science, Aarhus University (2011-2013) and BSc Computer Science, Aarhus University (2007-2011); high school at Århus Katedralskole (2005-2007). The LinkedIn index also lists a Bachelor's in Mathematics-Economics at University of Southern Denmark (2020-2022), reported here as an index-listed claim rather than independently confirmed.2013
  • Software Engineering Intern at Google (2011-2012) on the Dart virtual-machine/web-language team - a genuine internship.2011
  • Spoke at CppCon 2023 with the lightning talk 'Thread Safety With synchronized_value in C++' (published 2024-04-23, ~5.7k views), and the accompanying synchronized_value example repo is on his GitHub - public C++ concurrency work consistent with his quant/performance-engineering background.Apr 23, 2024
  • Co-founded and was Partner/CTO of FriendsPay (Aarhus, 2012), an online-payments startup housed by NORDpay (which he later joined part-time) - an early founding role in payments.2012
