Notes
  • Quant employment verification: CONFIRMED. Movin Jain held a real full-time role in quantitative-finance-adjacent fixed income at Barclays Investment Bank (formerly Barclays Capital) in London after his IIM-A MBA; in his own account he calls it his 'fixed income trading job at Barclays London'. The employer is a global investment bank whose fixed income division runs trading/markets and financing (repo, collateral, funding) desks, so it classifies as a bank quant-finance/markets employer. A separate on-campus 'hedge fund job' offer was declined and is not a role. Identity is supported: the TechInAsia piece is self-authored and cross-links his IIT Delhi/IIM-A background and London Barclays tenure, matching the LinkedIn profile.May 10, 2016
  • Co-founder and (per company blog byline) author at Skydo, a cross-border B2B payments fintech; Skydo publicly describes itself as built for Indian exporters/MSMEs challenging PayPal and Stripe on fees.Dec 9, 2025
  • As of a July 2026 BW Disrupt interview he is still Co-founder of Skydo and frames the opportunity as B2B cross-border payments and financial infrastructure rather than consumer products, drawing on his PhonePe experience.Jul 2, 2026
  • Skydo raised a seed round led by Elevation Capital (reported Jun 2022) and later a $10M Series A led by Susquehanna Asia VC - a Susquehanna (quant trading firm) venture arm as lead investor is notable given his own fixed income trading background.Jun 28, 2022
  • Career trajectory: IIT Delhi CS undergrad (2005-2009) -> IIM Ahmedabad MBA (2009-2011) -> Barclays Investment Bank fixed income, London (2011-2013) -> back to India into product roles - shows a deliberate return from banking to technology product management as the pivot point of his career.May 10, 2016
  • Listed on the LinkedIn profile as 'Assistant Vice President, Fixed Income Financing' at Barclays Investment Bank (Aug 2011-Sep 2013) and 'Summer Associate' at Barclays Capital (Apr-Jun 2010), per the caller's index lead (taiga-32207758) - INDEX-ONLY until independently confirmed; his own 2016 essay independently confirms a fixed income trading role at Barclays London.Sep 2013
  • Declined a campus hedge-fund job because the role was back-office - so no hedge-fund role was actually held; the hedge-fund connection is an offer, not employment.May 10, 2016
  • Skydo by mid-2026 had scaled to a ~170-person team, a hiring/traction signal.2026
  • Started his professional journey at Barclays Investment Bank, then built product-strategy expertise at InMobi, Ola and PhonePe before co-founding Skydo - the company's own author bio names these three product tenures.2024
  • Served as VP Product at Meesho (profiled by Meesho Tech, Nov 2019) and earlier as Director/Senior Director of Product at PhonePe - consistent senior product leadership at Indian consumer-scale startups.Nov 15, 2019
  • Authored a long-form personal essay on TechInAsia (May 2016) explaining his move from fixed income trading back to technology; it is the single richest first-person source on his early career and education.May 10, 2016
  • Barclays tenure included 'a couple of short stints with them in Singapore and New York' before the London full-time role - i.e. prior Barclays internships in Singapore and NY preceded the London job.May 10, 2016
