IOI 2001 Gold Medal For Singapore (rank 13/272)IOI 2000 Bronze And 2002 Silver Medals For SingaporeTwo SB Degrees And An MEng From MIT In Three Years (self-reported)Quantitative Engineering And Research Roles Across HFT/microstructure, Systematic Research And Cloud Platform Engineering

I've spent years working on various parts of the FinTech and Quantitative Finance stack in both a Quantitative Software Engineer and a Quant Researcher capacity. I've worked on traditional quantitative areas such as High Frequency Microstructure Trading Strategies and Systematic Quantitative Research. I've also worked on FinTech/InsureTech approaches for smartly automating processes using a mix of statistical and machine learning techniques. I've touched most parts of the stack along the way. In the Engineering stack, I've worked on DevOps to Cloud Platform Engineering to Production Systems Development. In the Research stack, I've worked both on building a research platform as well as alpha ideation and quantitative alpha research. I've also worked on business vision and strategic planning. I'm always looking opportunities to learn and exchange ideas and thoughts.

Singapore competitive-programming medalist for Singapore at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) in 2000, 2001 and 2002, winning one gold, one silver and one bronze. Worked at MIT CSAIL and the MIT Media Lab as a student researcher and interned at Microsoft, D. E. Shaw & Co. and Singapore's Institute for Infocomm Research before joining Two Sigma Investments, where he has held quantitative engineering and research roles and is now listed as a Managing Director.

Notes
  • Quant employment verification: UNRESOLVED. Identity is corroborated across independent sources: the IOI statistics archive and CPHOF list 'Nabil Christopher Moh Heng Ping' (Singapore, IOI 2000-2002) and a FINRA BrokerCheck record (CRD#5355737) is filed under 'HENG PING NABIL CHRISTOP MOH' with aliases 'CHRIS MOH' and 'HENG PING CHRISTOPHER MOH', linking the olympiad identity to the professional handle linkedin.com/in/chrismoh. Employment evidence is index-derived only (LinkedIn enrichment): 'Managing Director, Two Sigma Investments' from 2008 and 'Quantitative Developer Intern, D.E. Shaw & Co.' (May-Aug 2007). Two Sigma Investments (twosigma.com) is a quantitative investment manager and D.E. Shaw is a quantitative hedge fund, so both are genuine quant-finance employers; but the roles rest on a LinkedIn-derived index rather than independent primary-source confirmation, so the roles remain explicitly uncertain.2026
  • FINRA BrokerCheck regulatory record CRD#5355737 is filed as 'HENG PING NABIL CHRISTOP MOH' with aliases 'CHRIS MOH' and 'HENG PING CHRISTOPHER MOH', independently tying the Singapore IOI medalist name to the 'Chris/Christopher Moh' professional handle used on LinkedIn and the MIT CSAIL personal page, which is the key identity bridge for this profile.
  • Represented Singapore at the International Olympiad in Informatics in 2000 (bronze), 2001 (gold, rank 13/272, 417 pts) and 2002 (silver, rank 63/276, 232 pts), per the IOI statistics archive.2002
  • Index-only claim (LinkedIn enrichment, not independent primary-source confirmation): Managing Director at Two Sigma Investments, New York, from 2008 to present (about 18 years).
  • By his own account on his MIT CSAIL page he completed two SB degrees and an MEng at MIT in three years (2005-2008), an unusually compressed timeline.2008
  • LinkedIn summary in his own words describes work across the 'FinTech and Quantitative Finance stack' in both Quantitative Software Engineer and Quant Researcher capacities, covering high-frequency microstructure trading strategies, systematic quantitative research, DevOps, cloud platform engineering and production systems.
  • Research Assistant at MIT CSAIL in 2008, per LinkedIn enrichment past role.2008
  • Undergraduate researcher at the MIT Media Laboratory, 2005-2007, per LinkedIn enrichment past role.2007
