Po-Hsuan Su (Brian Su / 蘇柏瑄), born 2001 in Taiwan, is a competitive-programming medalist and software engineer. He won silver at IOI 2017 and gold at IOI 2019 for Taiwan, then earned a bachelor's degree (學士) in Information Technology at National Taiwan University (2019-2023). His professional path runs through Taiwan and Hong Kong: a software internship at NARLabs (2020), a Quantitative Trading Internship and a Software Engineer Internship at Jane Street in Hong Kong (2021 and 2022), a software engineering internship at Taipei crypto trading house SuDo Research Labs (2022-2023), and, since November 2023, a full-time Software Engineer role at Jane Street in Hong Kong SAR.

I'm Brian Su from Taiwan, born in 2001. I'm a gold medalist in Olympiad in Informatics. I love programming, I love everything about Computer Science. I started programming when I was 10. With the help from my parents, peers, and the Internet, I participated in some international tournaments, such as International Olympiad in Informatics, World Robot Olympiad, and Taiwan International Science Fair.

Notes
  • Software Engineer at Jane Street (Hong Kong SAR) since 2023-11, per the LinkedIn profile: a full-time role at a quantitative market-making firm, not an internship or student program.Nov 2023
  • Identity corroborated across independent source families: the LinkedIn profile (slug 蘇柏瑄-brian-su) lists high school 'National Experimental High School at Hsinchu Science Park', the same school Taiwanese MOE/ETtoday press names for gold medalist 蘇柏瑄 at IOI 2019, and AtCoder/GitHub accounts tie the name Brian Su / 蘇柏瑄(brianbbsu) to Taiwan, birth year 2001.Aug 11, 2019
  • Held two Jane Street internships in Hong Kong: Quantitative Trading Intern (Jun-Aug 2021) and Software Engineer Intern (Jun-Aug 2022), which are actual paid roles at a quant trading firm rather than insight days or camps.Aug 2022
  • IOI 2019 (Azerbaijan/Baku): gold medal, absolute rank 6 of 327, total score 477.14 (79.52%), competing for Taiwan - the top Taiwanese result that year.Aug 10, 2019
  • Quant employment verification: CONFIRMED. The LinkedIn profile (slug 蘇柏瑄-brian-su) lists actual paid roles at Jane Street, a US quantitative market-making firm (confirmed as a market maker via Wikipedia): Software Engineer full-time in Hong Kong SAR since 2023-11, Software Engineer Intern (2022-06 to 2022-08), and Quantitative Trading Intern (2021-06 to 2021-08). It also lists a Software Engineering Intern role at SuDo Research Labs (Taipei, 2022-2023), a self-described crypto trading house using delta-neutral strategies ranked among the top 25 BitMEX leaderboard traders - also quantitative trading. Identity is supported beyond the index-only LinkedIn record: the same school (National Experimental High School at Hsinchu Science Park) and name (蘇柏瑄) appear in Taiwanese MOE/ETtoday press for the IOI 2019 gold medalist, and AtCoder/GitHub accounts tie Brian Su / 蘇柏瑄(brianbbsu) to Taiwan, birth year 2001, matching the LinkedIn summary. These are real internships and a full-time role, not competitions, camps, or student programs. Caveat: the Jane Street and SuDo role dates come from the LinkedIn enrichment record (index/aligned profile data) rather than an independent primary-source employment confirmation.
  • Software Engineering Intern at SuDo Research Labs (Taipei, 2022-2023), a self-described research-driven crypto trading house using delta-neutral strategies and ranked among the top 25 BitMEX leaderboard traders, plus a Web3 venture arm - a crypto quantitative trading firm, so a genuine quant-adjacent prior role.2022
  • Jane Street is an American market-making firm (Wikipedia) - its core business is quantitative trading/market making, so roles there count as quantitative finance employment, unlike a company that merely has 'quant' in its name.
  • Timeline reads as a continuous Taiwan->Hong Kong quant/tech path: NARLabs software intern (2020), Jane Street quant-trading intern (2021), Jane Street software intern and SuDo Research crypto-trading intern (2022), then full-time Jane Street Software Engineer from Nov 2023.
  • Public press (ETtoday, MOE) names the four-member Taiwan IOI 2019 team as 蘇柏瑄, 王師宇, 蔡旻諺, 唐博彥, with 蘇柏瑄 and 王師宇 the two gold medalists from National Experimental High School at Hsinchu Science Park; 蘇柏瑄 took Taiwan's best individual rank (6th).Aug 11, 2019
  • IOI 2017: silver medal, absolute rank 37 of 304, score 318.00 (53.00%), representing Taiwan - two medal-winning IOI appearances across 2017 and 2019.2017
  • GitHub account brianbbsu is named 蘇柏瑄(Brian Su) and holds competitive-programming and NTU projects (pre-nhspc2019, 8BQube, NTU-Announcement-Crawler, md2cms), matching the IOI/LinkedIn identity rather than a namesake.
  • SuDo Research Labs was established in 2017, is headquartered in Taipei, and describes itself as a research-driven crypto trading house and venture-capital firm using proprietary delta-neutral strategies, having ranked among the top 25 BitMEX leaderboard traders.
