Rostislav Rumenov

Rostislav Rumenov is a Bulgarian-born software engineer based in Zurich, Switzerland. He represented Bulgaria at the International Olympiad in Informatics in 2005-2007, earning a silver (2005) and two gold medals (2006, 2007), and later studied Mathematics with Computer Science at MIT. He worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Google and as a Staff Software Engineer and team lead at the DFINITY Foundation, where he co-authored systems papers and wrote about the Internet Computer. As of March 2025 he is a Quantitative Technology Director at Qube Research & Technologies, a Zurich-based systematic/quantitative hedge fund.
