Notes
  • Quant employment verification: CONFIRMED. Evidence: (1) LinkedIn enrichment records a 'Quantitative Technology Director' role at Qube Research & Technologies, Zurich, from March 2025; (2) his self-authored GitHub bio names '@qube-rt' as current employer alongside 'ex-@dfinity, ex-@google' - an independent cross-link supporting the same employer; (3) multiple directories (TheOrg, hedge-fund contacts) list him as QRT 'Quantitative Technology Director'. Employer classification: QRT is a systematic/quantitative hedge fund (reported ~$30B, US expansion), i.e. genuinely in quantitative finance, not merely a name containing 'quant'. Prior roles (DFINITY staff engineer, Google senior software engineer) are engineering roles outside quant finance. Identity is supported by convergent LinkedIn + GitHub bio + IOI/MIT record.
  • GitHub bio states 'distributed systems engineer using Rust @qube-rt, ex-@dfinity, ex-@google' - a self-published cross-link that corroborates the QRT/DFINITY/Google role sequence independent of the LinkedIn index.
  • Qube Research & Technologies is a Zurich-headquartered systematic/quantitative hedge fund reported to have built a ~$30B book and to be opening a U.S. (Houston) office - confirms QRT operates in quantitative finance, so the 'Quantitative Technology Director' title is a real quant-finance role.
  • Authored DFINITY engineering article 'Tokamak: A Significant Improvement in End-to-End Latency' (with Daniel Sharifi, Nov 2024) describing update-call lifecycle latency work.Nov 13, 2024
  • Hosted DFINITY 'Global R&D November 2024 - ICP Metrics, Latency, DevOps' video as 'Staff Engineer at the DFINITY Foundation' - a titled role, not a student program.Nov 1, 2024
  • Co-author on USENIX ATC 2023 paper 'Decentralized and Stateful Serverless Computing on the Internet Computer Blockchain', listed with DFINITY, Zurich - establishes DFINITY research role.Jan 1, 2023
  • IOI medal record (cphof/IOI stats): silver at IOI 2005 (rank 32), gold at IOI 2006 (rank 6), gold at IOI 2007 (rank 23, 391/600); representing Bulgaria.Aug 22, 2007
  • Co-author on BFT/broadcast systems papers out of DFINITY: 'A New Broadcast Primitive for BFT Protocols' (arXiv 2410.22080, 2024).Oct 29, 2024
  • QRT's Zurich office profile lists 'Rostislav Rumenov - Quantitative Technology Director' among Zurich staff, and a hedge-fund contacts directory lists him as 'Director of Quantitative Technology' - multiple aggregators concur on the title.
  • Attended MIT (Bachelor's, Mathematics with Computer Science per LinkedIn enrichment), consistent with the ICPC World Finals 2011 appearance (MIT team) recorded in the cphof timeline.
  • Also competed beyond IOI: rank 84 at Google Code Jam 2006 and rank 29 at ICPC World Finals 2011 (cphof timeline).
  • Public aggregator RocketReach associates a qube-rt.com email (r******@qube-rt.com) and a +41 77 445 7xxx Swiss phone with the QRT Quantitative Technology Director - aggregator-provided, not independently confirmed.
