Andrey Jhen Shan Chen is a Brazilian mathematician and PhD student in Mathematics at UNICAMP's Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Scientific Computing (IMECC), advised by Paulo Regis Caron Ruffino (area: stochastic PDEs / stochastic dynamical systems). He represented Brazil at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in 2016, winning a silver medal, and has been one of Brazil's most decorated scientific-olympiad students - multiple OBM gold medals and a record medal count, including gold at the 2019 Ibero-American Interuniversity Mathematics Competition (CIIM) as part of Brazil's first-place team.

Campinas (SP)-born Brazilian mathematics talent. As a Colégio ETAPA Valinhos student he accumulated OBM gold medals (2012-2020, medallist in ensino fundamental, medio and superior categories) and earned silver at IMO 2016 in Hong Kong while representing Brazil. He continued in olympiad-style competition at university level (CIIM/IMC) and is now a PhD student in Mathematics at UNICAMP (IMECC) working on stochastic PDEs and stochastic dynamical systems under Prof. Paulo Ruffino.
