Asger Kjaerulff Jensen is a Danish quantitative researcher and mathematician. He represented Denmark at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 2007 (honourable mention) and 2008 (silver medal), then studied mathematics at the University of Copenhagen with an exchange year at UC Berkeley, earning a PhD in 2019 with a thesis on tensors and the entanglement of pure quantum states. He published research on tensor rank and quantum resource theories with collaborators including Matthias Christandl. After his PhD he moved into quantitative finance - high-frequency trading at Alipes, co-founding ABN Energy, and quant research at MFT Energy - and is today a Senior Quantitative Researcher at QUENT ApS in Copenhagen.
