Atanas Atanasov

Atanas Atanasov is a Maltese computer scientist who won a bronze medal for Malta at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2004 in Athens while a student at Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School. From a four-student national team selected at the June 2004 National Informatics Competition, he was Malta's sole medallist, scoring 280/600 (rank 130 of 291). He went on to read Mathematics, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Malta, where he won a University of Malta Dean's Award for Excellence in the Natural Sciences and Mathematics (First Year, 2005/6).
