Balázs Bukva (Hungarian name order: Bukva Balázs) is a Hungarian mathematician and mathematics student at Trinity College, University of Cambridge. He trained at the Budapesti Fazekas Mihály Gyakorló Gimnázium, Hungary's leading mathematics secondary school, and represented Hungary at the 2018 International Mathematical Olympiad, winning a silver medal with 29 points (rank 61 of ~600, 89.9%). Before that he won gold at MEMO 2017 and bronze at MEMO 2016, competed at the Romanian Master of Mathematics 2017, and placed in the Kürschák József competition. He has competed on Hungarian team math events such as Náboj alongside András Imolay and Zoltán Molnár-Sáska. He now studies mathematics in Cambridge, and lists his home as Budapest.
