Since October 2022 a postdoctoral researcher at Universitaet Bonn in the group of Valentin Blomer; he defended his PhD in July 2022 at Universite Sorbonne Paris Nord (Paris 13) under Farrell Brumley. As a school student he represented Belgium at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 2013, earning an honourable mention with 11 points.

Bart Michels is a Belgian mathematician working in analytic number theory, automorphic forms and representation theory.
