- The leader's report notes Han 'has the Chinese name Zhenyu' and was 'being educated at a boarding school in the UK', indicating a mainland-China-born student on a UK boarding-school trajectory, with Frank as his adopted English given name.Aug 1, 2014
- Scored full marks on Problems 1 and 4 (7/7 each) but 0 on Problem 3, the hardest; his 20-point bronze sat just four points above the bronze cut-off of 16, showing strength in the accessible problems and a gap at the geometry/hard-combinatorics end.Jul 11, 2014
- Only six of nine squad members made the final IMO 2014 team; Han was the youngest-tested pick from Dulwich College, selected at the Oundle camp in late May after the Trinity College training camp in April.Apr 7, 2014
- Han debuted internationally well before 2014: he appears as a UK squad member in the 2013 cycle reports, so the Cape Town bronze was the capstone of at least a two-year national pathway rather than a one-off appearance.Jul 1, 2013
- Reached the Royal Society on 25 September 2014 for the celebration of UK olympiad achievements, the top national recognition available to a UK IMO medallist.Jul 11, 2014
- Also selected for the 2013 UK team context via the UK IMO Register, which tracks all UK representatives and reserves across IMO and related competitions.Jul 1, 2014
