Ishan Nath

Ishan Nath is a New Zealand mathematician who represented his country at the International Mathematical Olympiad three times, winning bronze in 2018 and 2019 and a gold medal in 2020 (rank 19 worldwide, 35/42 points) - only the second New Zealand student ever to win IMO gold. He attended John Paul College in Rotorua, where he was deputy head boy and academic captain, and won a Sir Douglas Myers Scholarship in 2021 to study Mathematics at the University of Cambridge (Trinity College). He graduated with a BA and MMath in Mathematics from Cambridge and has held quantitative trading/research internships at Jane Street and Jump Trading Group.
