Jakov Ljubičić

Jakov Ljubičić is a Croatian mathematician and gifted student from Samobor. He attended Gimnazija Lucijana Vranjanina in Zagreb, where he competed on the national mathematical olympiad team. He represented Croatia at the International Mathematical Olympiad twice: in 2020 he earned an Honorable Mention (14 points, rank 317) and in 2021 he won a Bronze Medal (13 points, rank 268), placing him among Croatia's medal-winning six-member team. In 2021 he enrolled in mathematics at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Science (PMF), where he scored 52 points on the University of Zagreb team at the International Mathematics Competition for University Students (IMC) 2022, served as a teaching assistant (demonstrator) for the probability course, and repeatedly received PMF awards for the best mathematics students. He also competes in speedcubing under the WCA, and has stated an interest in pursuing computer science.
