Marco Margiocco is an Italian mathematician. As a secondary-school student he represented Italy at the 9th International Mathematical Olympiad (1967), scoring 26 points (65.7%) and winning a bronze medal. He went on to a research career at the University of Genoa, where he worked in category theory (with Fulvio Mora, Vittorio Villani) and later in game theory, publishing on well-posedness and equilibria in games with Lucia Pusillo and on Stackelberg-style hierarchical potential games.
