Marcelo Ricardo Xavier de Mendonça

Marcelo Ricardo Xavier de Mendonça represented Brazil at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 1986 and 1987, winning a bronze medal at the 28th IMO (Cuba, 1987). He was a leading Brazilian olympiad competitor of the late 1980s, also taking silver at the 1987 Iberoamerican Mathematical Olympiad and 3rd prize at the 1986 Brazilian Mathematical Olympiad.

Two-time Brazilian IMO team member (1986, 1987); bronze medalist at the 28th IMO in Cuba (1987) with 25 points, and medalist across Brazilian and Iberoamerican olympiads.
