Mohammad Abbas Rezaei

Mohammad Abbas Rezaei is a data scientist and mathematician currently on Google's core ads metrics team, working on statistical modeling problems including measuring user learning in the presence of personalization. He holds two doctorates - a PhD in Mathematical Statistics and Probability from the University of Chicago (2007-2013) and a PhD in Business Administration/Finance from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business (2016-2021) - and did a postdoc at Michigan State University (2013-2016) working on SLE curves and probability theory. Before Google he was an Economist/Data Scientist on Uber's rider surge team (2021-2022), modeling dynamic price adjustment on the rider/driver network. As a teenager he represented Iran at the 44th International Mathematical Olympiad in 2003, winning a bronze medal, then studied mathematics at Sharif University of Technology.
