Namig Guliyev

Namig J. Guliyev is an Azerbaijani mathematician and a leading research fellow at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) in Baku. His research centers on the spectral theory of differential operators, direct and inverse spectral problems for the Sturm-Liouville/Schrodinger equations, and he also works on approximation theory (neural network approximation). He competed for Azerbaijan at the 1997 International Mathematical Olympiad, winning a bronze medal. Google Scholar records roughly 850 citations and an h-index of 10; Math-Net.Ru lists 16 publications. He is affiliated with the Center for Mathematics and its Applications at Khazar University.
