Natalie Muradyan

Natalie Muradyan is an Armenian software engineer and mathematician, currently a Software Engineer at The D. E. Shaw Group in New York. She represented Armenia at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 2017, 2018 (bronze medal) and 2019, and studied computer science and engineering at MIT, completing a BS and an MEng (MATCHA Group at CSAIL). She created a Girls' Math Camp in Armenia to encourage young women in mathematics.

• Founded and personally taught a free, girls-only online mathematics course for students in Armenia in summer 2021 while holding a full-time internship in the US; hundreds of girls applied. The girls-only design was deliberate: she cited stereotypes that boys are better at math as discouraging girls from engaging.Jul 2021
