Bishkek-based; graduate of Secondary School No. 61, A-Level student at Maarif Educational Complex, and an incoming MIT student (Class of 2030) for applied mathematics.

Nazar Azizbekovich Kirgizbaev is a mathematician from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and the country's first-ever International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) gold medalist, winning gold at IMO 2024 in Bath, UK with 29 points (47th of 609). He returned to win silver at IMO 2025 with 29 points (119th of 630). He graduated from Secondary School No. 61 in Bishkek and studied Cambridge A-Level at the Maarif Educational Complex, and in December 2025 was accepted to MIT for applied mathematics on a $385,000 scholarship.
