Péter Borzsák

Péter Borzsák competed for Hungary at the 12th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 1970) held at Keszthely, Hungary, where he won a bronze medal scoring 20 points (rank 51 of 112). He was a pupil of the I. István Gimnázium in Budapest and, in the same year, earned a commendation (dicséret) at the Kürschák József national mathematics competition; his teacher was Árpád Jelitai. He went on to appear among the researchers of the Hungarian operations-research community associated with the ELTE/SZTAKI school of András Prékopa.
