Redi Haderi
I am from Albania, but have conducted most of my studies in Türkiye. I have studied mathematics in Boğaziçi University (BA), Koç University (MSc) and Bilkent University (PhD). Currently, I am employed as a postdoctoral researcher at Bilkent University. My mathematical interests can be summarized in two words: Category Theory!
For a research mathematician Haderi maintains an unusually active public teaching/seminar footprint: recorded talks on infinity-operads, simplicial lists and colimits of categories across Boğaziçi and Bilkent math seminars and at Applied Category Theory (ACT) 2024, but no personal site, GitHub or X presence surfaced — his public identity is channeled through academic profiles (ORCID, Google Scholar, AVESİS) and department seminar pages.
- Represented Albania at the 48th IMO (2007, Hanoi) and won bronze with 18 points (7 on both P4 and P5), rank 145 — the strongest result on a team whose other members scored far lower, marking him early as Albania's standout young mathematician.Jul 2007
- AVESİS marks him 'Araştırmacı kurumdan ayrılmıştır' (researcher has left the institution), so his AYBÜ lectureship appears to be recent or concluded — his current base may have shifted.2025
- ORCID bio frames him explicitly as an 'applied mathematician' interested in categorical modeling and categorical aspects of quantum information theory, in Cihan Okay's Bilkent research group — positioning him at the applied-category-theory/quantum intersection.2024
- His published work is collaborative: The Operadic Theory of Convexity (with Cihan Okay and Walker H. Stern), Applied Categorical Structures 2025 — shows he works inside a small higher-category-theory network rather than solo.2025
- Completed a full Turkish academic trajectory as an Albanian: BA Boğaziçi, MSc Koç, PhD Bilkent (2023), suggesting Türkiye became his adopted base after leaving Albania for mathematics.2023
- PhD dissertation '2-Fold Structures And Homotopy Theory' under Özgün Ünlü at Bilkent — a pure category/homotopy-theory project, the technical root of his later operad work.2023
- Gives recurring higher-operad talks across Boğaziçi and Bilkent seminars through 2025 (e.g. 'Two models for higher operads,' Nov 2025), indicating he remains an active node in the Turkish category-theory community.Nov 25, 2025
