Ricardo Pérez-Marco

Ricardo Pérez-Marco is a Spanish-French mathematician, Directeur de Recherches at CNRS (UMR 7586, IMJ-PRG, Université Paris Cité), working in Géométrie et Dynamique. Born in Barcelona in 1967, he studied at the École Normale Supérieure and earned his doctorate from Université de Paris-Sud in 1990 under Jean-Christophe Yoccoz. He won the 1996 EMS Prize for his work on dynamical systems. His research spans small divisors, holomorphic dynamics, hedgehog theory, log-Riemann surfaces, zeta function theory, economic dynamics, the Kelly criterion, and bitcoin/blockchain. He represented Spain at the 1986 IMO, winning a silver medal with a score of 51.
