Russian mathematician and mathematics educator in Saint Petersburg. Teaches at FML No. 239 (since 1993), which he graduated in 1988 and which he represented (as part of the USSR team) at the 1988 IMO, winning silver. PhD in physics and mathematics; jury member of the All-Russian Mathematical Olympiad and coach of the Russian IMO team.

Sergey Lvovich Berlov (b. 25 April) is a Russian mathematician and mathematics educator based in Saint Petersburg. A 1988 graduate of Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 239, he represented the USSR at the 29th International Mathematical Olympiad (Canberra, 1988), winning a silver medal with 30 points (7,7,2,7,7,0). He has taught mathematics at Lyceum No. 239 since 1993 and holds a Candidate of Physics and Mathematical Sciences degree. He is a jury member of the All-Russian Mathematical Olympiad, a coach of the Russian national IMO team, and one of the most prolific authors of olympiad problems in Russia, with problems on IMO shortlists, the Romanian Masters of Mathematics and Saint Petersburg olympiads. He has authored and co-authored numerous books on Saint Petersburg olympiad problems and published scientific articles on combinatorics and graph theory.
