Sidharth Puthiyedathu Suresh is a Mathematics and Computer Science undergraduate at University College, Oxford, and the most decorated math Olympiad competitor the UAE has produced: he won the country's first-ever IMO medal, a bronze, at IMO 2023 (20/42), and was an honourable mention at the 8th ICMC Round Two in 2025. He schooled at Abu Dhabi Indian School (Al Muroor) and was a 2021 and 2022 Sophie Fellow and a 2022/2023 IMOTC participant. He has worked as a Quantitative Trader Intern at Optiver.

Sidharth Puthiyedathu Suresh (also 'Sidharth Suresh') is from the UAE and studied at Abu Dhabi Indian School before reading Mathematics and Computer Science at University College, Oxford. He represented the UAE at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 2023, winning a bronze medal -- the first IMO medal for the UAE. He is a 2021 and 2022 Sophie Fellow, a 2022 and 2023 IMOTCer, and an Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) awardee 2022-2023. Notes
  • Won the UAE's first-ever IMO medal -- bronze at IMO 2023 with 20/42 -- making him the trailblazer for UAE olympiad maths.
  • Awarded the Oxford Department of Computer Science Prize for Mathematics & Computer Science (first-year exams), indicating top-of-cohort performance at Oxford.
  • Optiver quantitative trader internship (2025) -- the standard top-of-funnel role that converts to a graduate quant trading offer, suggesting a finance path alongside CS.
  • Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) awardee 2022-2023, i.e. he competed in India's national olympiad pipeline (HBCSE) while based in the UAE.
  • 2021 and 2022 Sophie Fellow and 2022/2023 IMOTC participant -- an early trajectory through India's math-olympiad training ecosystem before the UAE IMO cap.
  • Gave a 1h25m lecture 'Quadratic Residues' at the Unofficial IMOTC 2022 (Online Math Club) -- already teaching peers as a school student.
  • Honourable mention at the 8th ICMC Round Two (Feb 2025, scored 30/40) -- still competing at a high level into university.
  • Attended Abu Dhabi Indian School (Al Muroor) in the UAE, where he was the overall topper, the school pipeline that fed his olympiad start before Oxford.
