Yoshiki Oshima is a Japanese mathematician and Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences, The University of Tokyo. He works on the representation theory of Lie groups, particularly branching laws of representations and the decomposition of representations when restricted to subgroups. He earned his PhD at the University of Tokyo in 2013 and has held positions at the Kavli IPMU, the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton), and Osaka University. As a school student he represented Japan at the International Mathematical Olympiad five consecutive years from 1999 to 2003, winning multiple silver medals.
