Have you performed live and if you had, what is the craziest thing you have seen from an audience?

I recently performed at a college music festival where they sandwiched me in between eight bands, right in the middle, one lone very low-key standup comedian. The band right before me was a punk band where they threw chairs and broke stuff. Then I went up and the audience was very confused what to do. At one point during my set, I looked up and I just saw a girl in the back spinning around in circles. Truly a high point for both of us.

Oh, that is very kind. But honestly, you don't have to be clever to be a standup comedian. Clever is just one genre. You can also be goofy, sassy, flat, loud, big. This is very After School Special, but the good thing about standup is you can just heighten whatever you deem is the funny part of yourself. Wherever that bug to try standup (and it's definitely a bug) is coming from, hone into that using whatever channel you deem best, whether that's a pet psychic or a copy of the Artist's Way. Most people in their first few years of standup are just figuring out what their voice is, so you're not alone.

Do you ever wish you could use Twitter like a non-famous person?

Oh, boy! Your question exists on the foundation that I consider myself a famous person. I don't! I still think of Twitter as a little mailbox I keep shoving envelopes into all day, but I always forget someone actually picks them up and delivers them to the world. In that sense, I think I am a egomaniacal monster who treats it like a diary that everyone gets peeks at.
