Aldrian Obaja Muis is a lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic's School of Computing and a natural language processing researcher, trained first as a mathematician in Indonesia. He represented Indonesia at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 2008, winning a bronze medal, and again in 2009. He went on to a Bachelor of Computing (First Class Honours) at NUS, a Master of Language Technology at Carnegie Mellon University's Language Technology Institute, and roles as a research engineer, research assistant, and senior data scientist at Traveloka and Sembly before moving into lecturing.
