Jonathan Zung is an assistant professor in the mathematics department at Georgia Tech, working on foliations and flows on 3-manifolds and their interactions with contact and symplectic geometry. He earned his PhD at Princeton, an MSc in Computer Science at Princeton, and an MSc in Mathematics and Honours BSc at the University of Toronto. Before topology he worked in the Seung lab on connectomics and computer vision, and he represented Canada at the 2010 International Mathematical Olympiad (honourable mention).
