Good question. This week I was editing the Ologies epode on #FunctionalMorphology with Dr. Joy Reidenberg and learned that sperm whale echolocation clicks are loud enough to burst human eardrums and also that the 1883 Krakatoa eruption was so loud that it straight up killed people from the noise.
