The crew of the Roci has started a game of D&D. Here's what I think everyone's playing.

I figure this takes place between Babylon's Ashes and Persepholis Rising. First off, Alex is DM. And y'all he's good at it. He puts so much into his stories but makes sure never to railroad. He knows when to let the party win and when to let the party fail. Best of all he's…

This is incorrect. Holden plays a Cleric, and selects the domains with the widest variety of support and healing spells. He probably carries a weapon, whichever his god favors, but rarely uses it. He's all about the support class. Naomi…

Naomi plays a gnome artificer, and spends the entire game asking the DM which things can be turned into other things, to the annoyance of the other players, but occasionally she will have made the exact thing that solves the current problem so people eventually stop grumbling.

Amos plays a halfing bard because he saw a picture of one in the handbook and thought it looked adorable. He has all the usual bard social skills but never uses them, instead charging into battle wielding a tiny rapier.

Hi! Thanks for creating such an amazing universe to experience! How long did you know the ending of the series? Was it from the start or did things change as you wrote? Thanks again, y’all gave me countless hours of enjoyment!

[ty] We knew the last scene when we were plotting book 2. In fact, Ty told Daniel what the last line was, and nearly ten years later that's the last line of dialog we used.

I know you guys had a planned ending all along, but I've heard that the number of planned books has expanded from what you originally planned. Is that true? And if so, what caused you to extend it to nine novels?

u/JamesSACorey replied

[Daniel] Actually, we cut it back from 12 because the longer version felt a little saggy in the withers. We originally planned just one that we'd sell for pizza money. We build 9- and 12-book outlines while we were writing Caliban's War.

[Episode 2] Nitpicky physics detail question?

Hi everyone! Got into The Expanse on the suggestion of a friend a couple of months ago. I've fallen in love with the series and am currently just about caught up through Nemesis Games (halfway through). Anyway, I'm currently watching through the show again with my roommate who…

The wrench was supposed to fly down, hit the hull of the Knight, then bounce over the edge and get disintegrated by the drive plume.

Ah well.
